Right now, the best evidence is that the Universe originated with the so called big bang. The Bible isn't a scientific textbook, and God wasn't giving the ancient Hebrews a 21st century scientific knowledge of the cosmos which may not even be correct in some instances. God simply spoke to the ancient Biblical writers where they were at in terms of their understanding of the cosmos.
Emotional denials don't change what the Bible says.Īnd the fact that the Bible does portray a flat earth isn't a problem. Scholars, who actually know what they're talking, about say otherwise.
